Brazing Aluminium Sheet

Brazing requires less energy than welding and can be used to join dissimilar metals.
Brazing aluminium sheet. Apply this paste to the areas on the metal pieces that will be joined using the brush. Wipe the areas on the metal pieces that will be joined with the emery cloth so the surfaces are free from dust and grease. Heat treatable or core alloys composed mainly of manganese or magnesium are also used. When compared to welding equipment aluminum brazing equipment is inexpensive portable and does not require high amounts of voltage.
Mix a small amount of flux with water to form a paste. Cladding an aluminum silicon alloy with a brazing sheet provides an aluminum alloy that has the thin walls necessary for use in automobile heat exchangers as well as such desirable characteristics as high strength corrosion resistance and formability. We have developed and are refining a variety of products of this sort. A convenient method of preplacing filler metal is by using a brazing sheet an aluminum alloy base metal coated on one or both sides.
A third method of applying brazing filler metal is to use a paste mixture of flux and filler metal powder. Cladding an aluminum silicon alloy with a brazing sheet provides an aluminum alloy that has the thin walls necessary for use in automobile heat exchangers as well as such desirable characteristics as high strength corrosion resistance and formability.
